4-3/8" x 6-1/4". Two volumes in the Collection of British Authors, Tauchnitz Edition, vol. 2434, bound into a single volume: 336pp; 320pp. Sewn binding in maroon cloth-covered boards. Considerable wear to the cover which, however, is fully intact. Binding starting to loosen at the hinge front and back. Pronounced lean to the spine --- this is a book that's been read more than once. Age toning, some spotting to the edges of the book block, and a small damp stain at the top corner in the second part. Some penciled notes on the front free end paper. Original title page is darkened / somewhat soiled in comparison to rest of book, and has a small tag out of its bottom corner; a previous owner's name is written in black ink at the top of page. Otherwise, pages are clean and unmarked. Seller Inventory # 001456
