This 5.5 x 7.5 inch, 274 page hardcover book is the 1941 edition of this title by the California State Department of Education, with the copyright of 1937 by Lyons & Carnahan. This copy is in at least very good condition with a bit of time wear showing to the blue-cloth covers with black-and-green printing and illustrations on front and spine. The corners show a touch of whitening and the spine crown and foot a bit of crimping, but really the covers are in at least very good condition and probably better with the binding tight. The interior shows a California State stamp on the front pastedown and a previous owner's inked name and address also on the pastedown. There are no additional markings to the text pages and the interior text is in near fine condition, with little wear showing. The text pages are an attractive mix of color illustrations and graphics complementing an assortment of arithmetic problem presentations with partial- and full-page story problems and a series of arithmetic computations that follow.
