Green cloth boards well worn and browned with age. Red leather label at spine with gilt title, also well worn and pealing off at edges. Spine slanting and corners bumped. Front free endpaper is stuck to the front board, likewise is the back free-endpaper to the back board. Hinge cracked at first and last pages. Heavy foxing to pages throughout. Book smells musty. Binding still firm and no inscriptions. Contents include chapters on Admiral Benbow, Captian Kidd, Admiral Byng, Lord George Sackville, Jack the Painter, Admiral Keppel, Mutiny of the Bounty, Mutiny at the Nore, Govenor Wall, Colonel Despard, Vice-Admiral Calder, General Sir Robert Wilson and the Escape of Lavallette.
