South African Agricultural Series No. 10. Publishers original brown cloth boards with the residue of what might have been a label across the bottom 1.5cm of the upper board. Corners very slightly rubbed. Prev owner's name in pencil to ffep but o/w unmarked. Numerous b/w plates present as well as frontispiece of Africander bull along with fold-out map. Loosely inserted as a supplement are two stiff cards supplying a "Gestation Table". There is some mild foxing to the prelims and back endpapers. Bosman was dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of South Africa. the book is dedicated to the memory of General Louis Botha "who first interested me in, and who made it possible for me to study agriculture".
