About this Item
One 10 cm b&w photo on 10.5 cm card. Some soiling to both sides. Ink note on rear identifies subject as "Little Pearl Hurtt, Song queen." Bottom left corner has photographer's name - Sheaff? Victorian performer's carte de visite photo advertising a singing group called Hurtt's Juvenile Quartet. Four child singers in the 1870s-80s traveled and sang under the management of their father Abel L. Hurtt. Other siblings in the group were Abel, May and Frank. It's assumed such souvenirs as these would be sold at their concerts in such places as Detroit, Chicago and their home state of Indiana. Seller Inventory # 125178
