First edition, first impression: original illustrated binding showing a painting of the two Princes, with a decorated border and title letters in gold. Front end paper has a gift dedication: "Hugh Carleton Greene from Mumma September 16, 1917" and is from the library of the former Director-General of the BBC and brother of Graham Greene. Frontispiece (with clear tissue guard) and illustrations from drawings by A G Walker, sculptor. The text block is very clean with no spotting or sunning.
