This somewhat rustic promotional map of Cape Cod was likely issued in the late 1930s or 1940s by the New England Map Company. A basic transportation map of the island identifies primary transportation routes, geographic features, and several locations of interest. Other historic sites, attractions, and recreational opportunities are represented with a variety of illustrated vignettes. Sheet Width (in) 27.25 Sheet Height (in) 17.75 Condition Description Heavy wear along the left and right edges of the sheet, including several closed tears that have been repaired on the verso with archival tape. A small chip on the right side, smaller than a dime, has resulted in minor image loss. Scattered soiling visible in the lower left corner. Between fair and good condition overall.
