Author's first novel originally published in 1929 by Robert McBride in a very small print run(@1500 copies). Covici-Friede took over this book and re-issued a small number with the original McBride sheets(940 copies). This copy is the second printing of this title reset without the McBride logo on the sheets or publisher's imprint on the spine. Dark blue board; blue stained top page edges as required. A NEAR FINE book. Original VG+ second printing jacket with mention of "Of Mice and Men" on the cover and no publisher's imprint on the spine, has some light chipping to top of spine.
