First American edition. Lord Moran (previously Sir Charles Wilson) was Winston Churchill's personal physician from 1940 until Churchill's death in 1965. This controversial book provides many details of Churchill's physical and mental health, against the background of the war and politics. 877 pages + xvii prelims. 24 pages of b/w photographs. Blue boards in jacket. Condition: The jacket is complete and without tears, but is fairly worn and slightly grubby. The book itself is clean and unmarked.
