Handsome contemporary Brown Full Leather Binding with Blind Tooled Decoration covering Front, Spine & Rear. Gilt Titles to front & Spine. All Page Edges Gilt. Frontispiece Illustrated with Multiple Portraits. Title Page Illustrated with a Lyre playing Muse and dated 1864. 711 Pages, 610g, 6 3/4" Tall. Previous owner's inscription on Preliminary Page, dated 1865. Spine colur faded a lighter brown. Some wear around spine, a closed tear along left side (2" long). Theres a a small hole in the leathe (aboyt 1/8" square) and 3 very small pieces missing at spine ends. A few occasional spots of foxing, most pages in nice, clean condition.
