Hardback with unclipped dust jacket (no date shown, but includes paintings up to 1994 and biography is dated 1994) cover, title & author as shown. Intact used condition DJ with some rubbing & SIGNED PRESENTATION COPY FROM THE ARTIST, DATED 1994. Hardback in the original pictorial dust-jacket, not price-clipped and no markings inside or out. No inscriptions. 97 pages including 24 pages of English text biography of Carlos Nadal at the front with some photographs; later pages present color reproductions of Nadal's paintings. Catalan painter Carlos Nadal was the last of the wild Expressionist group of painters from Spain and perhaps one of the last with direct connections to the original gang of Fauvist painters. He was heavily influenced by the work of Matisse and Braque, the latter whom he got to know well in Paris just after the close of the second World War. says in shop on word doc.
