Penguin Books, 1952. Hardcover. Dust jacket condition: Poor. The jacket is bumped and has substantial chips and tears at the top of the spine and near that area on the front and back cover. There are also chips at the top fore-edge corners and at the base of the spine. There is also some scuffing, particularly to the back cover. The jacket is price-clipped. There is also fading across the jacket, particular at the top edges and where the covers meet the spine. There is some slight yellowing to the flaps. The book is in Good condition. It shows signs of use commensurate with age, and is a little grubby, but the gilt is clear and the binding feels strong. The pages are in good condition, a little yellowed in places, and with signs of age and use. The pull-out map at the rear of the book is intact, though there is a fold about 0.5 wide and 10cm long at the far-edge as it is pulled out. Seller Inventory # 002073
