About this Item
Nestled in the mountains overlooking the southern port city of Yosu, Chollanamdo Province, Hungkuksa Temple is the depository of a large number of Korean Buddhist paintings ('t'aenghwa') of the mid Yi Dynasty, beautifully executed and well preserved, many of a particularly impressive scale.
