Gift quality hardcover in black cloth covered boards showing sharp tips (one tip is bumped, not rubbed), and spine ends. Few light marks on black cloth, barely noticeable. No names, tears or soil in the 251 pp untrimmed page block. Not exlib. Unclipped, original color illustrated dust jacket shows two men on horses standing in front of a tall mountain range that has a split down the middle. Super light color loss at dj tips, no tears or chips, displays beautifully. Quite rare title by Chuck Stanley tells of the aftermath of the civil war, when the men who had been gaining their livelihood from traplines in the Rocky Mountains came down to the prairies to hunt buffalo and moved in a semi-annual migration from the Texas plains to the Canadian woodlands, following the vast herds of wild animals.
