Good hardcover, very sturdy. Later half leather (rubbed). Foxed, usually on the backs and margins of the plates; occasionally within the plates. Top of one chipped page margin is reinforced. Unrelated gift inscription. ** A large compilation of prose and poetry on sporting practices, personalities, events, etc., around the world. Chiefly field sports (shooting, angling, fox and big game hunting); also horse racing and a little on yachting. The pictorial title page shows a bull fight.
