Printed at the Rampant Lion's Press for Douglas Cleverdon, the work with these illustrations having being originally printed at the Golden Cockerel Press in 1926. No. 235/300 copies on J. Green mould-made paper. Quarto (28.5 x 19.5cm). pp. [ii],[1-6],7-19,[3]. Thirteen engravings by David Jones, printed from the original blocks. 'For Jonah, Jones produced engravings of tremendous power. He either lacked the technical proficiency or was never sufficiently alert to the needs of the pressman who was unable to print his blocks cleanly on the papers Gibbings used. It remained for the Clover Hill reprint in 1979 to show Jones' blocks to best advantage.'- Cave & Manson, History of The Golden Cockerel Press.
