Revised and enlarged second edition. The second poem is an obvious pastiche of Chesterton's "A Ballade of Suicide" called "Ballade of Incipient Lunacy". There's also serious war poetry in here. Herbert was one of the leading British essayists and humorists of the 20th Century. This copy is worn on the edges, and has toning of the endpapers and a bit of foxing inside. Uncommon.
