Corners and spine edges have wear, spine ends have significant wear and chipping, spine is sunned, cover has shelf wear, ink inscription (dated 1896) on ffep, foxing spots on end papers and occasionally in text, clear tape at gutter of front and rear endpapers as well as to title page and page 304, one page in pusblisher's advertising has two-inch closed tear and last page has a three-inch open tear to bottom corner.
