Map on front pastedown and endpaper; 4 color illustrations, and 34 pages of black and white illustrations. The covers are rubbed, edge worn, and lightly soiled. There is an ownership sticker on the top of the front endpaper, a bookseller's stamped label on the bottom of the front pastedown, and offsetting to the second endpaper from a London Missionary Society (appears to be integral to the book) presentation on the verso of the first endpaper.
