Original poster. Color lithograph. 39 3/4 x 29 1/2 inches. This iconic 1942 World War II propaganda poster was designed by artist Bernard Perlin for the Office of War Information. The poster depicts a U.S. Navy Sailor raising an angry fist. Below him is a scene of an exploding battleship destroyed at Pearl Harbor. Issued as an anti-axis powers propaganda poster to generate support for the war effort. This poster is in good condition with original fold lines showing minor wear. Two repairs to upper left margin, minor edge wear. Unlined. Bernard Perlin (1918-2014) was an American painter from Virginia. He was a Guggenheim fellow and was known for creating World War II pro-war art and as an illustrator for "Life and Fortune". Seller Inventory # 270530
