The main book is divided into seven chapters, tracing Badran's training in Palestine and Germany and his subsequent return to the Middle East. About the Author:

James Steele is Professor in the School of Architecture at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Among his previous books are An Architecture for the People and The Complete Architecture of Balkrishna Doshi, both published by Thames & Hudson.
