This 5-page typescript of Cernan's personal account of the Apollo X voyage begins: "You know, you come a long way--a quarter of a million miles. The ground has targeted you and put you into orbit at tremendous velocities--up to about 25,000 miles an hour--and you're to coast around behind the moon at a distance of 60 miles." This document is Signed: Gene Cernan Appolo X" and is Fine condition.Cernan's second space flight was as lunar module pilot of Apollo 10, May 18-26, 1969, the first comprehensive lunar-orbital qualification and verification flight test of an Apollo lunar module.
