5.5" x 4.5". Appr. 160pp. Four issues of this newsletter bound in one volume. Red cloth with a red buckram spine. The top half of the spine is chipped away. (Needs a new spine.) Internally near fine. These issues were published in Sept., 1907; March, 1909; Aug., 1909; and Sept., 1910. Each issue contains essays on various subjects, such as the danger of special education, Why I Do A Cash Business, Cooks and Cook Books, Great Men, Memory Culture, etc. It appears that Shorey was trying to be a Pacific Northwest version of Haldeman - Julius. Each issue features a list of books available at the Shorey Book Store, a Seattle institution that lasted nearly 100 years. Seller Inventory # 20731
