Portrait of Andries Colijns de Nole (1590-1638), half-length turned to the left but looking over his shoulder to right, with mid-length hair, a moustache and beard, wearing a frilled ruff and buttoned doublet, his right hand resting on a sculpted bust of Laocoön, his left gesturing towards it at the level of his abdomen; sixth state with initials of Gillis Hendricx burnished; after Anthony van DyckFrom the set Icones Principum Virorum (1635). [NL] Portret van de beeldhouwer Andreas Colijns de Nole, ten halven lijve. Met zijn rechterhand leunt hij op een marmeren beeld. In de marge de naam en het beroep van de geportretteerde. Gemaakt door Pieter de Jode II (1606-1674), naar Sir Anthony van Dyck. Engraving on laid paper, cut within plate mark; total: 241 x 164 mm, state VI/6; traces of glue on the four corners, on verso, otherwise in great condition. New Hollstein 78.
