The first item ?San Francisco Street Names? by Henry C. Carlisle - - is a unpaginated booklet by the American Trust Company of San Francisco in 1954 with original wood engravings by Mallette Dean. This 4.0 x 7.5 inch item is in at least very good condition with a centerfold map of the city and with historic descriptions of San Francisco?s street names along with information on the then-notable people whom the streets were named after. 2 & 3) - there are two very similar but somewhat different items - - both with the same title - - ?Welcome Map San Francisco and Bay Area - Presenting San Francisco for the Discriminating Visitor? - - published by A. Babcock - - with both carrying dates of 1955 with Volume 7 No. 3 and Volume 8 No 2 shown on the front cover. These two items have similar features with the 4.0 x 9.0 folded format the same on front and back cover but when unfolded there is some difference in advertising. The items unfolds to 23.0 x 18.0 inches each having several maps with the San Francisco central maps and other communities shown separately along with description and listing of places to see and do in San Francisco. One item shows tears at the folds when unfolded, the other item does not. Both items being very good. 4) - the fourth item is titled ?Inside San Francisco and the Bay Area - The Golden Key to Restaurants, Shops, Hotels, Etc.? - - with a date of 1950 showing as a copyright date. This 8.5 x 3.625 inch folded brochure unfolds to 22 x 17 inches with a colorful center spread map of the city and with artistic touches and descriptions of things to see and do - - along with touches of advertising with this piece in near fine condition. 5) - the last item is a ?San Francisco TourMap 1976? - - on the title page along with Jack Tar Hotel and Bicentennial Edition also shown on the front cover. This 3.75 x 8.75 inch brochure unfolds to 22.5 x 11.375 inches, with a colorful center spread of San Francisco with advertising and places shown, and with extensive colorful artistic touches and places to visit shown on the backside.
