About the Author: Sebastian Brockhaus holds a Diplom-Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg. He specialized in insurance, taxation, and transportation management. The author worked for three years as a student employee in the terminal development unit of the Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA) of the Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA). He also completed his Diplom-Thesis there that dealt with the optimization of the automated container storage. He has worked on several international research projects, including an in-depth qualitative study focused on sustainability in supply chains in collaboration with The Ohio State University. The author completed his dissertation for Dr. rer. pol. in 2013 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Wolfgang Kersten.
