Original pink cloth boards with gilt lettering on both cover and spine. 313 pages in very good condition, albeit yellowed due to age.Slightly used novel in which Mr. Wilson presents, "without equivocation or special pleading, accurate observation of the present American scene…" He illustrates how the Depression had effected every part of the country in different ways. "These differences in the personal conduct of the plain man, in the psychology of a people and the administration of its business and national affairs are here dilineated".
