Book is well-preserved, clean inside and out, flawless contents, slight lean to the spine, slight amount of play is present in the front and rear hinges but no cracking and binding is fine, the jacket has several tape-reinforcements aong the edges, a long, closed tear on the tear panel and some surface-wear along the folds, it is still bright and presentable despite the flaws and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, 254 pages, 65 illustrations, "a rounded picture of the buffalo and its relation to American life - an account of its early history and discovery by Europeans, its numbers and habits, the part it played in Indian life, the slaughter of the great herds, and the rise and development of a strong national sentiment that saved it from extinction"; Signed by Author.
