About the Author:
Hap Klopp is the founder of the iconic brand, The North Face, a Stanford graduate, and a serial entrepreneur.
Hap consults around the globe, and lectures on the topic of entrepreneurship particularly entrepreneur- ship as it is found in Silicon Valley. He is the author of two previous books on business, including the ac- claimed leadership book, Conquering The North Face: An Adventure In Leadership.
Hap, who holds an AB and MBA from Stanford University, founded The North Face where he served as its President and CEO for 20 years. He runs an international consulting firm, HK Consulting, with offices in the U.S. And Japan.
He has lectured at the business schools of Stanford, University of California, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, University of San Francisco and a number of international universities. He has been profiled on national television and in such publications as BusinessWeek, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, and Inc. Magazine.
In addition to mentoring entrepreneurs, Hap is presently the Executive Chairman of Obscura Digital, a San Francisco based digital communication company, and serves on numerous Boards of Directors.
Brian Tarcy is a journalist and the co-founder of CapeCodWave.com, an online magazine featuring long-form journalism. He started Cape Cod Wave in May 2013.
Brian is the author or co-author of more than a dozen books, including several he collaborated on with professional athletes such as Cam Neely, Joe Theismann and Tom Glavine. In addition, he has written books with business leaders, CEOs, consultants, and medical professionals.
As a journalist, he has written for the Boston Globe, Boston magazine, Boston Business magazine, the Cape Cod Times, and several others. He is especially fond of character-driven business journalism. Brian has a degree in Radio/TV news from Ohio University.
