Unread. No markings in book. Binding is tight. Sir Alfred Sharpe (1853-1935) was H.M. Commissioner and Consul-General for the British Central Africa Protectorate and first governor of Nyasaland. He trained as a solicitor but was also a planter and professional hunter before becoming a British colonial administrator. He was Commissioner of the British Central Africa Protectorate from 1896-1907 and Governor of Nyasaland after the protectorate changed its name to Nyasaland in 1907 until his retirement in 1910.
