This 12.5 x 10.5 inch, 95 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is a publication of this title by Funk & Wagnalls. There is no indication of copyright or printing on the title or copyright pages although the vintage feel and the price of $12.50 on the dust wrapper flap indicates this as a 1966 printing. The book is in near fine condition with the maroon-cloth covers featuring a black barn design on the front panel and bright and clean silver lettering on the spine. There is just one bump to the bottom front corner but beyond that the book is in at least near fine condition and the text pages could be seen as fine. The dust wrapper is only in good condition. It is complete and solidly in one piece but there are numerous creases, tears, and wear along the edges, and someone has taped a tear on the back panel. Again, the price is unclipped at $12.50. The text treatment of the American barn from colonial days is a truly remarkable collage of information, and then the incomparable sketch work of Eric Sloane, who portrays barn construction, and function, with his wonderful artistry. Sloane's sketches and detail are truly one of a kind and this book captures the American barn as no other. The 95-numbered pages are followed by ten full-page Sloane pictures of American barns in color. 95 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-771
