This 6.0 x 8.625 inch, 432 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the apparent First Edition of this title in 1947. This book is in near fine or better condition with virtually no wear or damage showing to the black cloth covers ? with titling on the spine in red blocks containing the gilt lettering. The covers show just the slightest touch of shelf-wear to the bottom edges and corners. The interior shows red-wine-colored endpapers with the text pages in strictly fine condition. This book shows the 1947 date on the title page and corresponding 1947 copyright date on the following page. The dust wrapper shows definite wear ? with three closed tears and one small chip missing at a fold ? with the $3.00 price unclipped.
