Presently, he is the vice president of Metrology Society of India, New Delhi, and vice president of Ultrasonic Society of India, New Delhi, India. He has also contributed in several national and international advisory boards / committees like IMEKO, APMP, BIPM, BIS, NCERT, FCRI, etc. Prior to joining CSIR-NPL, India, he has worked for more than seven years as a project officer in the Science and Technology Department of Haryana Government for the implementation of various rural development programs. He has more than 450 research publications to his credit in national and international journals of repute, books, monographs, reports, conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Dr. Naveen Garg is a senior principal scientist and head, Physio Mechanical Metrology Division and Acoustics and Vibration Standards in CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, working in the field of sound and vibrations since the past 19 years. He is a mechanical engineer specializing in machine design, vibrations and acoustics, measurement science and working in development and upgradation of primary standards of sound pressure and vibration amplitude and R&D in Applied Acoustics. He has done his doctorate in mechanical engineering from Delhi Technological University, Delhi, and M.Tech. in Machine Design from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. He has been a managing editor of MAPAN-Journal of Metrology Society of India published by Springer and a reviewer of many international journals and has enormously contributed toward evaluation, analysis, and control of noise pollution.
Dr. Mukesh Kumar is working as a dean, Science and Technology and chairperson and associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Gurugram University, Gurugram, Haryana. Excellence in education will be associated with Gurugram University. He received a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana (India) in 2001. He then completed a Master of Technology (M.TECH) degree from Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, Haryana (India), in 2004. He received a Doctorate of Philosophy in Computer Science & Engineering (Ph.D.-Computer Science Engineering) degree from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana (India) in 2012. He has published more than 150 Research papers in various national and international conferences and various peer-reviewed and referred journals of national and international reputes.
Dr. Shankar G. Aggarwal did his Ph.D. from Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, India, in 1999. After his Ph.D. award, he worked at National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, and at Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), one of the designated institutes of Taiwan for 4 years on gas and aerosol-related research. Thereafter, he got awarded JSPS fellowship and worked at Hokkaido University, Japan, before he joined at CSIR-NPL in 2009. His current designation is a chief scientist and head of Gas Metrology of CSIR-NPL, and his current research focus is “metrology for national ambient air quality standards” in which he has been involved in gas standard preparation, air monitoring instruments related technology developments and their calibration work, etc. So far, he has been published >130 journal research papers and supervised 10 Ph.D. students. He is the member of several national technical committees of BIS, CPCB, SPCBs, NITs, NABL, etc.
Dr. Shiv Kumar Jaiswal obtained his B.E. (Electrical Engg.), M.Tech. (Electrical Engg.), and Ph.D. (Fluid Flow) degrees in 1994, 1996, and 2016, respectively. He is currently working as a chief scientist and Head—Fluid Flow Metrology Section of CSIR—National Physical Laboratory (NPLI), New Delhi. He has more than 27 years of research, industrial, and academic experience. He has been an active researcher in the field of electrical and fluid flow metrology. He has worked as a guest researcher for one year in Quantum Electrical Metrology Division of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, USA, during year 2006–07. After coming back, he established automatic 10V Josephson Voltage Standard and worked in nanometrology project for development of calibration facility for DC voltage, current, and charge measurement.
Dr. Manoj Kumar is currently a principal scientist in the Environmental Sciences and Biomedical Metrology Division at CSIR-National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi.
