Spine cloth wrinkled. 30mm tear to cloth with some loss at head of spine. 10mm chip to cloth at tail of spine. Cloth rubbed heavily along rear joint, with some splitting. Hinges weak, but without any splitting to the gutters at endpapers. Previous owners' signature and inscription on front endpaper. ; 216 pages +  pages advertisements + 45 illustrations on 32 plate leaves. Blue cloth boards. Page dimensions: 215 x 135mm. Account of the author and her brother's travels in Russia in 1924. "Satanella" was the name of their vehicle, a motor bicycle with side car.
