About this Item

A beautiful first printing copy of this elusive 1940 Caldecott Medal book. This is a true trade first, NOT the Junior Literary Guild (book club) edition. The paper-covered boards with partial blue cloth spine are clean and bright. There is a bit of light rubbing to the tips and the very tip of the top corner is bumped, else the book is Fine--the entire interior is As New. It's just lovely, clean, crisp, bright, no handling, no previous owner name or marks, perfect. Errata slip intact also. The dust jacket has some rubbing to caps and corners and a piece the size of a pencil eraser missing on the spine, still Very Good or better. There is no Caldecott sticker to jacket, and the original price ($2.00) is intact on inside flap. Collectible quality. Please see photos. Bookseller Inventory # 95090701
