Green cloth on boards with gilt lettering to spines and gilt decoration to front boards. Complete set of three volumes - Volume I. South (577pp), Volume II, Midland (576pp) and Volume III, North (573pp). Undated new edition each with four monochrome, tissue guarded photogravures, produced by Franz Hanfstaengl of Munich. Top page edges are gilt. A little light foxing/spottiing on first and last few pages and on tissue guards, but nothing interfering with plates, and on extreme page edges. In the 'Publisher's Preface' this new and updated edition has 'at considerable expense, been re-issued in a more complete and popular form'. A lovely set. Seller Inventory # 001269
