Title: THE ARCHITECTURE OF ST. CHARLES AVENUE
Publisher: Pelican Publishing Company
Publication Date: 1977
Illustrator: Many Photos
Book Condition: Very Good
Edition: 1st Edition
Tight, square and generally clean copy. The only real flaws being a couple small soiling spots on front cover at upper left, and a few slightly large spots of soiling and a scrape to the cloth on back cover. Old price sticker remnant on back cover was partially peeled off but the effort met with resistance from the book and so the remnant remains in place and wisely so. Spine lettering bright. There is a tad of wear to cloth at head and foot of spine, and at the corners. Corner bumping. Internally very clean copy. Profusely illustrated with black and white photos of the outstanding mansions and other structures on famed St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans -- thankfully most of them still intact after Hurricane Katrina. Architectural consultant for this book was Monroe Labouisse, Jr. A rather scarce book. Bookseller Inventory # 1399
