A magazine measuring 10 ¾ in. x 14in. "American Boy" began publication in November 1899; it ran monthly and had continuous pagination from Nov. to the following Oct; this issue has pp. [121]-152. Illustrated with reproductions of b/w photos, drawing, etc. Advertisements. This copy has loose sheets, no longer stapled. Showing a central, horizontal fold. It shows some splitting along the fold, some tears and chipping to the edges and some tanning. The magazine printed stories and article of interest to boys; e.g, in this issue, "A Dash Through the Spanish Blockade," by George Parson; and The Boy Traveler, by Harry Steele Morrison.
