Synopsis
This is a collaboration, a collection of poetry created between myself and an AI system. Some of my works of fictions have played with the ties between human and the machines and it is a topic that I have always found interesting, especially being born in the 90s and watching the fever of wires and screens take over.
This project took a few months to set up. While I have experience with coding and AI, this project was a bit more intensive. I fed the AI collections of my writing and poetry as well as my ideas are formatting each poem. At first, it was a mangling of words and repeating phrases. As I continued to work with AI it started making up its own poetry based off my work. Finally, near the end of project we started writing back and forth, in some cases it was seamless, in others it was painfully obvious that a machine was trying to make art.
That all being said I do want to express that this is an experimental collection. Though I have done the editing and organizing, know that Artificial Intelligence has had a hand... or circuit in the creation of this collection.
The poems in nature might not make sense, they may be silly, weird, confusing, but that was the joy of this creation. It was merging two sources – one human and one zeros and ones. With all this in mind I hope you enjoy this work from a crazy poet and a computer.
