Heating and Air Conditioning Regulation with KNX - Softcover

9798305248357: Heating and Air Conditioning Regulation with KNX

Synopsis

Climate change has impacted how we design buildings. First with thermal regulations, and now with environmental ones, buildings are increasingly required to be less energy-intensive. Designing more energy-efficient buildings with a better carbon footprint involves innovative construction methods, bio-based materials, a different design approach, and optimized management of all technical systems, particularly those that are especially energy-intensive.

Buildings account for 44% of the energy consumed each year. It is therefore essential to minimize their environmental impact. This will naturally require optimized management of heating and cooling. By intelligently and automatically regulating heating, we can optimize energy consumption.

The KNX protocol is used for many applications in buildings. Often for lighting management, but also for solar shading systems. Interestingly, it is less commonly used for HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) applications. Yet all the necessary equipment exists to enable efficient HVAC management.

This book aims to teach you how KNX can regulate heating and cooling, what the principles are, and how to implement effective regulation.

With numerous examples and illustrations of programming in ETS, you will be guided step by step to start mastering your first KNX heating regulations. It is, of course, recommended to have basic knowledge of KNX and a minimum level of experience to fully understand all its aspects.
