About the Author
William Ospina nacio en Padua, Colombia, en 1954. En su carrera como poeta, ensayista y novelista, se ha hecho merecedor de diversos reconocimientos, como el Premio Nacional de Ensayo (1982), el Premio Nacional de Poesia (1992), el Premio de Ensayo Ezequiel Martinez Estrada de la Casa de las Americas (2003) y el Premio Romulo Gallegos (2009) por la segunda novela de su trilogia sobre la conquista, compuesta por "Ursua," "El pais de la canela "y "La serpiente sin ojos."
