With this monograph the artistic creation of Rudolf Moroder-Rudolfine and his wife Finy Moroder-Martiner is to be remembered and appreciated. The creative activity of the two artists from Val Gardena can be described as self-discovery. In her work is the search for basic answers to questions of existence. They created works away from traditional Val Gardena wood carving art. The passionate design and the search for something new was always the content of her life. Rudolf and Finy Moroder were members of the South Tyrolean Artists' Association for several decades from 1949. For both, the artist association was an important platform that allowed dialogue and exchange of ideas with the artist colleagues. Through the South Tyrolean Artists' Association, exhibitions, study trips and symposia fruitful links to the open cultural area have resulted.
