About the Author:

New Zealand journalist, Annemarie Skjold, travelled to Europe in search of her roots. Her journeys provide a rich background to the tales, bringing colour and life to her characters. Written in an easily accessible style, Skjold deftly draws the reader into a variety of predicaments; revealing the characters world through their eyes with irony and dark humour. Published works include archtitectural articles, novels, and two collections of short stories. Her stories continue to win prizes in international competitions. Skjold lives in Denmark.
