About the Author

Sally Rooney nació en County Mayo, Irlanda, en 1991. Estudió inglés en el Trinity College de Dublín y tiene un máster de literatura norteamericana. Durante sus años de universidad, Rooney llegó a ser la ganadora a nivel europeo de ligas de debate y oratoria. Sus textos han sido publicados en Granta, The New Yorker, The Dublin Review, Winter Pages y The Stinging Fly, revista a la que se incorporó como editora en 2017.

Conversaciones entre amigos es su primera novela, ganadora del premio Escritora Joven del Año 2017 del Sunday Times. Rooney fue escogida ese mismo año por The Observer (The Guardian) como uno de los talentos más prometedores del momento.
