Laura Klos Sokol has been a corporate trainer in Warsaw since 1994. Her areas of specialty are Presentation Skills, Communication Skills, Team-building and Developing Creativity. She is an accredited trainer for Think on Your Feet ®, a training focussed on the skill of getting your point across quickly, clearly and persuasively. She also a certified administrator of the MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator), one of the most widely used psychological instruments for analyzing personality types. She earned her M.A.T. (Master’s of Arts in Teaching) at Georgetown University, Washington, DC, and did advanced graduate studies in Sociolinguistics. She has presented her original research in the field at international academic conferences. Also trained in teaching methodology, she practices experiential learning techniques in all her trainings and designs programs to assure concrete practice of skills in the classroom. She is a founding partner of Creative Edge, a Warsaw training facility, and the author of two books on cross-cultural communication in Poland: Speaking Volumes About Poles and Shortcuts to Poland. She is married to a Pole and originally came to Poland in 1991 as a Fulbright lecturer at Warsaw University.
