Synopsis
Every household has a refrigerator to keep food and vegetables fresh. The residential refrigerator is mostly powered by electricity and operates on a vapour compression refrigeration cycle. The VCR cycle has four major components: a compressor, a condenser, an expansion device, and an evaporator. The compressor in a refrigerator consumes the greatest amount of the energy needed to operate. Energy can be saved by decreasing compressor input power. The refrigeration industry is the greatest energy consumer in the world, and numerous researchers have investigated novel methods to reduce energy consumption. The performance of the refrigerator improved by improving coefficient of performance (COP) and lowering input power. Hybrid nano-lubricants have grown in popularity since their beginnings in vapour compression refrigeration systems. Numerous studies have demonstrated that the use of hybrid nanoparticles improves system performance and efficiency.
