9786202065061: Process Transducers: Design, analysis and applications in Industry

Synopsis

Transducer is an essential part of every measurement and instrumentation system, which plays a key role in running a plant or industry with better quality product at lesser cost and higher safety of operation. Thus, the accuracy and reliability of measurement primarily depends on the proper performance of a transducer. Hence the performance of the instrumentation system in any process plant depends on the performance of the transducers in terms of linearity, repeatability, sensitivity, resolution, accuracy etc. Research works are still being continued on the development of new or modified transducer with simpler design, lower cost and acceptable accuracy. In the present book, attempts have been made to develop some new or modified techniques of transducer. The effect of other very important parameter on the performance of one of these transducers has been studied. One transducer technique has been utilized to develop and improve the system. An accurate signal conditioning system with electrical isolation of a transducer output has also been developed.
