The German-born New York photographer Nina Welch-Kling is one of the new voices in Women Street Photography. With her latest work Duologues, Welch-Kling adds an artistic aspect to the genre: by combining two photographs as fixed diptychs, she creates a visual dialogue between two images that open up new dimensions to the viewer. About the Authors

Nina Welch-Kling (b. 1965), is a New York City-based photographer originally from a small town in southern Germany. Her background in fine art and architecture combined with a love for roaming the city streets inform her photographic depictions of everyday life. Welch-Kling holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (1990) and a Master of Architecture from The University of California, Los Angeles (1993). Since 1995 she has lived in New York City raising her two, now college-aged daughters, while continuing to explore creative outlets defined by her passion for photography.

Christopher Giglio is a photographer, painter, sculptor, and teacher. His artwork addresses the role of technological mediation in contemporary life. Giglio's work is in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, NY, Princeton University Art Museum, Princeton, NJ, AT&T Technology Center, Washington DC, and Centro Cultural/Arte Contemporaneo, Mexico City. He is based in Booklyn, NY.

Jeff Mermelstein (born 1957) is an American photojournalist and street photographer, known for his work in New York City. He lives in Greenwood Heights, Brooklyn, New York.

Gulnara Samoilova (b. 1964) is a Russia-born American photographer, living in New York City. Her work in New York City after the September 11 attacks won a World Press Photo award and is held in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Samoilova is the founder of the website, social media platform and travelling exhibition Women Street Photographers, and edited a book of the same name.
