The 450-mile San Francisco Bay Trail is a pleasant combination of history workshop and bicycle tourism, of cultural enjoyment and charming flora and fauna. It traverses downtown San Francisco as well as the San Francisco National Wildlife Refuge and leads through almost 1000 parks or prtected reserve lands. He regulalry publishes articles and reports in various print media, including a guide to the 160 km Berlin Wall Trail. For more than 25 years, Michael Cramer has practiced car-free living in Berlin. He gets around that large city by bicycle, bus, train or taxi. He has a detailed knowledge of the conditions bicyclists face in Berlin and has also enjoyed bicycle vacations on cycling routes in the United States, Austria, Switzerland, France and other parts of Germany.
