C'est simple et tout le monde comprend. Et une automobile ? La taumobile. Et un chiffon ? Le chiffoun. Vous voyez, c'est un dialecte particulier qu'on peut assimiler aisément lorsque l'oreille est suffisamment entraînée... A.B. Le Gone du Chaâba a reçu le prix du Meilleur Roman 1986 décerné par les journalistes et couronné par le prix Sorcières 1987 - prix de l'Association des libraires spécialisés dans la jeunesse. Un très beau film de Christophe Ruggia, sorti en janvier 1998, est tiré de ce premier roman.
